After using several different computer based health systems over the last ten years, Sapphire SchoolNurse Health System is by far the most comprehensive and user friendly program I have encountered. The nurses in my district have commented on how easy it is to use, even for those with little computer experience. Less time is spent on documentation and data entry therefore freeing up the nurse to spend his/her time on nursing activities.

The support team at K12 Systems is terrific. They are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. In Sapphire SchoolNurse, they have developed a program that meets our total needs. Furthermore, they do not hesitate to respond very quickly when a problem arises. The technicians have developed a safe, secure program that the nurse can feel comfortable using when maintaining student health records.

As the Manager of Computer services I was apprehensive about moving to a new student information system knowing that all of that information in our old as400 system would need to be migrated into a new system to better utilize the data we needed to keep, manage and review. I have found my experience with K12 Systems, Inc. to be educating, challenging and sometimes frustrating but all in a positive way. Their technical expertise, willingness to help and above all listen to the frustrations we experienced in making such a transition were certainly welcome additions to just purchasing a product. In our two year adventure, we have gone from text based child accounting with lots of glitches to software applications that give us web based student information available to staff and parents 24 hours a day. The combination of these services like the Sapphire Gradebook and Sapphire Parent Web Portal have given our teachers and parents a better insight into what is happing daily in the classroom vs. what happened over the past 9 weeks. By embracing the added technology and with the help of a great company like K12 Systems, our district can move forward with the confidence that we will be able to continue to enhance the learning process with our new educational tools.

I would say the strengths of the program can be found in the ability of the teacher accessing the system from the internet. This has allowed me the opportunity to keep my grade up to date and accurate even as I grade materials at home. Via the Internet is also a excellent way for parents to stay involved in their child's education. The parent portal is a secure system of grades communication from the teacher to the parents.

I just want to congratulate both K12 Systems and the Conestoga Valley School District for creating the Sapphire Parent Web portal. As the parents of an 8th grader and 10th grader, it is very important to us to know how our children are performing in school. However, they do not willingly share grades and class performance as is typical of their ages. The parent portal allows us to view their progress with weekly updates by their teachers, and question those missing assignments or questionable grades, as well as praise their good grades.

I feel much more confident about and in touch with my children's performance at school.

With the increased demands being placed on teachers, having a tool that allows us to be more efficient in the classroom is always a welcome resource. Since the incorporation of the new Sapphire Grade Book with K12 Systems, I have been able to quickly produce and maintain grade sheets for my students, which gives parents more input on their child’s progress.

Also, maintaining accurate records is extremely important. Using the Sapphire Grade Book allows me to frequently update and check individual grades as well as class averages. A favorite feature of mine is being able to color code various assignments which enables me to see at a glance what areas a student may need additional work. This has truly been a beneficial program to me as a teacher

As a building Computer Facilitator, I have had the opportunity to conduct various training sessions for both new and experienced teachers. The Sapphire Grade Book program is very user-friendly which allows even inexperienced computer users the ability to learn the program.
